HOP + Chroma Glazes; Spring Inspired

Hello everyone!! Welcome back to our blog, to our Hop. Our Mixed Media Team is using our Chroma Glazes to be Spring Inspired!! If you have not seen them yet, hop over here to see them in our store BrutusMonroe.com.

We hope that you find some inspiration in the projects our team put together.  To start this project hop along, BreAnn has created a Spring Inspired project using Chroma Glazes:

I had lots of fun making this tag. I stamped and heat embossed the stamp from the Grateful stamp first. Next, I used several shades of blue aqua pigments to build the background. I mixed pearl pigment to make the paint shine. I wanted to add a little texture to the background so I mixed one of the blue pigments with alabaster glitter glaze to keep it tone on tone. I finished it off by adding a few cross stitches around the tag.

Next up on our hop, Jeanne has used Chroma Glazes:

Hi crafty friends! This week I'm back with a couple of mixed media tags!

I made the tags from chipboard I received from Brutus Monroe, I began by adding some watercolor paper on the chipboard, I then painted them using the Brutus Monroe Pigment Inks in Penny & Pink. Then used the Brutus Monroe Kaleidoscope Stencil with one of my favorite products, Brutus Monroe Glitter Glaze in Alabaster color! I let the tags air dry then added some of the Brutus Monroe Prism Purple Sequins on the Pink tag and other sequins from my stash on the Penny colored tag. I finished it off using some stamps from my stash using the Brutus Monroe Not Your Momma's Cardstock with the Raven Black Ink from Brutus Monroe. Lastly added some white seam binding and some trims from my stash as well.

Hope you like this week's project! See ya next week!!

For our next inspirational post using the Chroma Glaze, Jenn created a clean and simple card:

For my Tag background I use both the Chroma Glaze and Aqua Pigments combined with some Green acrylic Paint on a Gelli plate. I added some embossing ink and Raven embossing powder to my tag edges and some splatters. Next I added color to the lettering and bicycle.  I used the Pearl Aqua Pigment to paint the clouds. I fussy cut the images and words and added them to my tag. To finish my tag, I used the Aqua Pigments to die part of my ribbon as well.

Thanks!

Jenn

This next project Nicole used the Chroma Glaze to create her card:

I started by using a manila tag coated in white gesso with layers of Aqua Pigment in Violet and Fuschia. Each of the layers were added with a paint brush, palette knife and splatters, drying between each. Once dry, I used Bubble gum and Orchid Chroma Glaze over the Daisy stencil. For the flowers, I used the Inked Flowers stamp set on the Watercolor Galaxy paper and fussy cut those out then adhered them on the tag, layering Frosted Halo Fabulous Fibers behind the larger flowers. For the sentiment, I used the "one" and "at a time" from the Christopher's Shoes stamp set and thickers from my stash for the word "day."  For a few finishing touches, I added black sketchy lines around the outside and white gel pen details on the flowers.

Enjoy!

Nicole
