HOP - TURTLE TIME!!!

HOP - TURTLE TIME!!!

Hello everyone!! Welcome back to our blog, to our Hop. Our Mixed Media Team is using our Brutus Monroe products to make fun tags with June's Stamp of the Month and Stencil of the Month!!! If you have not seen them yet, hop over here to see them in our store BrutusMonroe.com.

We hope that you find some inspiration in the projects our team put together.

To start this project hop along, Jenn created this fun tag set:

Hello there! Today I have created two fun colorful tags using the June Stamp of the month and Stencil of the month! Beautiful shells for the stencil and these little turtles on the stamp are just adorable! There is even a fun enamel pin available!

For these fun tags I started by using the Stencil of the month and ink blended one in a rainbow and the other in blues creating an ombre effect. I used the Alabaster Pigment ink with a blending tool to soften all of the tag edges.
Next, I stamped the adorable turtle stamp of the month onto Perfect Blend Alcohol Marker Paper in Raven Detail ink. I colored them using alcohol markers. Using foam squares to lift them up a bit I adhered them to my tags. For a final touch I used a white ink pen to dot around the stenciled shells. For ribbon I used a rainbow of thread colors on my rainbow tag and white and silver ribbons for the blue.
Have an amazing Crafty Day!
Jenn

This next project Nicole used our stamps and stencils to create her tag:

Hi everyone! For this week's project, I'm creating another tag to add to my mixed media tag journal. I started by Gessoing a medium sized manilla tag. I then layered white acrylic mixed with Blue Green Aqua pigment in various spots over the background. Once dry, I used the June Shell Stencil of the Month to add shells using white Media Paste and blue waves with a navy blue waterproof ink. While drying, I used the simple blend cardstock and the June Turtle Stamp of the Month to color with Copic this adorable duo! Aren't they the sweetest?! I added the turtles on foam dots over Frosted Halo Fabulous Fibers. Next, I added my saying "Lean On Me." Perfect for this stamp! I also punched a few hearts out of the Blue and Green Mermaid Skin paper and added them around the tag. Lastly, I added  a navy distressed border, Pearl Aqua Pigments over the shells to make the pop and some white splatters.

Enjoy!

Nicole
