HOP - June Die of the Month
Hello everyone!! Welcome back to our blog, to our Hop. Our Mixed Media Team is using our Brutus Monroe products to make a project using the Die of the Month!! If you have not seen them yet, hop over here to see them in our store BrutusMonroe.com.
We hope that you find some inspiration in the projects our team put together.
To start this project hop along, Jenn created a clean and simple card:
Hello friends and fans of Brutus Monroe! Jenn here sharing two very colorful cards this week! Have you seen the June die of the month? It is amazing!! BRU3900 - Flower Burst.
When I saw this die for the first time I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. Lately I have been creating and experimenting with gelli printing backgrounds and had a stack of them on my desk. I picked two of them and used the die to cut them both. For my sentiments I chose stamps from the Extra Sentimental stamp set, stamped one on white card using Raven Detail Ink and the other on white card using Alabaster Pigment Ink.
I layered my die cuts onto coordinating colored cardstocks and then onto a black card bases.
Finally I fussy cut my sentiments and added to the fronts of my cards using foam adhesive squares.
Have an amazing day and as always stay crafty!
Jenn
This next project Nicole used our Die of the Month to create her card:
For this week's project, I'm creating a card with minimal supplies and a BIG impact! I used the June
Die of the Month to emboss a card front and then ink blended pink and lime green on the card front. To add a bit of dimension, I splattered water to pull some color out, then used the Aqua Pigment - Gilded to add gold splatters. Once dry, I added a white satin bow, the "Little One" sentiment from the Extra Sentimental stamp set popped up on foam adhesive and a few acrylic bubbles for an extra finishing touch! Use teal or light blue instead of pink to create a baby boy card! Super easy and versatile!
