Holiday Decor Using Sketched Holiday Surface Board
Hello friends! Heather B. here showing you how to make simple holiday decor using the Brutus Monroe Sketched Holiday Surface Board.
The sketched surface boards are:
- 12"x 12" sizing
- Full Printed Holiday Designs
- 5 Sheets per pack
You can use them to make boxes, create scrapbook pages or decorate and put them in a frame, as I have done with my project today. Let's get started!
First, I choose to use Aqua Pigments to paint one of the stockings on a board that had many images randomly placed. The Aqua Pigments work amazing on the surface boards! To create the gold for the ribbon, I mixed Gingerbread, from the Holiday Collection, and Yellow.
For the background I masked off diagonal strips using purple tape and then used Red and Pearl Aqua Pigments to create the stripes.
Once the background had dried I fussy cut the stocking and added it with foam tape to the background. The entire panel was put on a piece of gilded glitterstock and added to a frame.
It was that simple and quick to create a piece of holiday decor that could be used to brighten up your own home or given as a gift.
Have a great day!
