Hi everyone! It is Verity here again from Pretty Little Button, so good to be back up on the blog again. Did you see the weekly blog hop on Wednesday? The team showcased some fantastic makes with the Dragon Kisses stamp set. I loved working on the set that I made two cards so I could show you even more inspiration today. These stamps are perfect for colour in and today I used my alcohol markers to do just that. Hopefully, you will be full of inspiration by the time the stamp set is released at the end of May so keep an eye out!

Hello Friend - Alcohol ink dragon and background details:
Start off by stamping the dragon onto
Alabaster cardstock in
Raven detail ink. As this ink is archival you can colour with your alcohol markers once dry. I used a selection of pale greens/turquoises to colour this dragon in, imagining my light source was in the top right. Make sure you colour the legs peeking out behind its body slightly dark to give depth. Once complete, this was fussy cut out.
For the background, I applied a selection of pale blues/turquoises to a piece of Yupo paper. I applied the ink using an alcohol applicator tool and blotted this onto the paper to give a mottled look. For the sentiment, I stacked several die cuts sentiments (cut from
Alabaster card) on top of one another and used
Craft glue to adhere this to the background.
I die cut a square stitched frame and foam mounted this on the panel with
3D foam squares. The dragon was also foam mounted onto the card and overlapped the frame for interested. Lastly a selection of sequins, including
Crystal Bottle Cap sequins to the card with
Craft glue.
