Happy Canada Day!

Happy Canada day friends!

For my card today I wanted make something to celebrate our friends to the north side of the border and a crafty friend mailed me this (retired) stamp set so I knew exactly what I wanted to make.

This card is super easy, I used one red marker that was as close to the red of the Canadian flag as I could find, in this case, I used spectrum noir coloring system marker in CR8.

I stamped my maple leaf and colored it with the marker and then also colored two pieces of white card stock using the same marker.

Assembling was easy. I mounted my red stripes and the leaf onto sticky foam so I could have them be more dimensional.

I adhered my red pieces onto my card that measured 4 X 5.25 and then I glued this piece onto a red base that measured 4.25 x 5.5.

For the sentiment I chose to go with “celebrate” from a random stamp set and called it a day.
