Guest Designer Gracie Chavez! Birds of a Feather
Hello everyone! Today I'm happy to be back with a second card featuring Brutus Monroe, as their guest designer! This time I have a colorful and sparkly idea using the Feathered Sentiments Clear Stamp Set and the Barn Wall background rubber stamp!
For today's card, I stamped and heat embossed the Barn Wall pattern on vellum, with a gold glitter embossing powder. I attached that vellum panel to a white card base and then added a teared piece from a monoprinted and painted background on top of it. The sparkle, color and textures of this card base ended up looking amazing together! Totally not planned but so perfect!
I stamped lots of feathers from the Feathered Sentiments stamp set and watercolored them with traditional watercolors followed by a bit of glitter watercolors applied only on certain parts of the images to create a nice color transition! I fussy cut the feathers and attached them around the bold sentiment which truly brings all the design together! All the images on this card were stamped with Raven Detail Ink by Brutus Monroe. Perfect for watercoloring and any other coloring media you have in mind!
