Golden stenciled card

Golden stenciled card

Hello everyone. Luisana here with another card for you this week.

I have had this card ready for a while and I am excited to finally show it to you guys.

For my card I wanted to showcase the stencil of the month in a way that would just be the wow effect of the whole piece. I started off by stamping the stencil twice onto a black card (I repurposed one of the inserts from previous stencils) using Brutus Monroe embossing ink and immediately after applying gilded embossing powder over it and heat setting it. What an elegant look that embossing powder gives!

I cut the stenciled paper into 4 equal pieces and fuzzy cut the excess paper  off it.

I had a white card ready to go that measured about 5.5x5.5 and I glued my 4 pieces of stenciled paper onto each of the corners so I could get the effect I wanted.

For the center I stamped a huge butterfly stamp using gilded embossing powder and I also fuzzy cut around it. I mounted the butterfly onto sticky foam squares and I mounted it onto the center of the card.

For the sentiment I went with one from the nest stamp set and once again I heat embossed it using gilded powder and a heat gun. I trimmed on side of the sentiment strip to make it look like dove tail and glued it directly onto the bottom right part of the card.

That completed my card for you today. I love the gold effect of the embossing powder combined with the pattern of the stencil.

I hope I was able to inspire you today. Please tag me if you make a project using the techniques I showed today.

See you all Wednesday.
