Gamer Girl by Aletha Jane Williams

I first stamped the laptop on watercolor paper with Versamark ink. Covered the ink with white embossing powder and melted with heat gun.

After the melted powder cooled down I covered the panel with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide. I diluted Perfect Pearls in a small spray bottle and sprinkled/sprayed over the panel. With a paper towel blotted the panel to achieve a few un-inked spots. Depending on the project I like adding the Perfect Pearls for that shimmer. After this panel was dry I cut off two of the stamps from the “symbol stamp”, the X and O and placed each on their own acrylic block. I stamped these two images with Archival Vibrant Fuchsia.

I stamped the sentiments in white embossing powder on black cardstock. Trimmed all three with a trimmer or a pair of scissors and sat those in a safe place so I wouldn’t lose them. Guess what happened? Yep, I lost them anyway.

I had so much fun with the game controller stamp. (I really had a lot of fun with this whole project.) Pink is not a favorite color of mine to work with, but this image was screaming bright pink with a touch of purple. I stamped the controller with Memento Tuxedo Black ink twice. I colored one image with Copics in V12, 15; W1, 3, 6, 7, 9; RV52, 63, 66, 69. I fussy cut both images and attached the two with paper glue. I wanted the controller to be stable for the foam tape I used for the dimension. I want to mention that when I fussy cut a stamped image I hide the white (paper) edges with a black marker. This helps finish the image.

Now assembly of “Gamer Girl”…(1) added three black sticker borders to the right side of my pink panel; (2) Adhered the pink panel to the card base (3) added the game controller; (4) added the sentiments; (5) added the crystal drops for the finishing touch.
