Gamer Boy!
Good day crafty friends,
Today we are using a fun stamp set by Brutus Monroe called Gamer. Instead of focusing on using the main or focal stamps in a set, we are using the supportive stamps to show how all stamps have the potential to be the focus of a card. By using the heart and small background stamp to create a birthday card for the fella in your life, that is also an avid gamer, a card is created with the stamps that may never be used in card making. (How often do we buy a stamp set for one main stamp and never use the rest of the stamps? Hopefully this card will get you out of that habit and help to stretch your imagination to create using the supportive stamps within a stamp set.)
To create this card: Stamp the background stamp several times to create the patterned bottom of the card front. Next, emboss (using the Brutus Monroe red Embossing Powder from the at home Embossing Bar Club.) on red paper to create the focus of this birthday card. Cut out the heart and use foam tape to center the stamp onto the card. Finally, stamp the sentiment to a coordinating banner and attach with foam tape for dimension.
This card layer was then layered onto several graduated sized layers to complete the look. You can stop here or add a little bling to the card by ink dying some bubbles and then add them to the card.
We love seeing your creations and hope you will share them with us at Brutus Monroe Facebook Fan Page.
Enjoy
