Fun with Stencils!

Fun with Stencils!

Hello! I have a fun background stencil technique to share with you today! I used a couple stencils with some ink blending, along with the new Stick & Stamp Mat. OMG!! This tool is a must have, especially when using stencils.

My favorite stencil - the Embrace stencil - is perfect for this technique. It creates such a cool kaleidoscope background with just a little rotation of the stencil! But you can do this with other stencils as well, check out your stash, I'm sure you'll find some and Brutus Monroe has some awesome stencils to try with this technique.

First, I used the Perfect Blend cardstock, you can get this in a pack that is already cut to A2 size! So convenient. I stuck that to my Stick & Stamp Mat, and then put the stencil over it. Any parts of the stencil that hang over the cardstock with stick to the mat - no tape needed!

Look at what a beautiful background this stencil makes! After inking it with the first color, I wiped the stencil and rotated it a bit before inking on the second color.

And when you take off that stencil, check out the reveal!

I think this stencil is just beautiful! Instead of a second color of ink, when you rotate the stencil, you could add glitter glaze. I'm always in for using glitter glaze - everything is better with glitter!!

I used this same technique with the Daisy stencil to get a more playful, fun look using pink and orange ink. Isn't it cute!

I used some rectangle dies to cut the panels and these are the cards that I came up with:

I hope you'll give this a try the next time you get out your stencils and tag me on Instagram with your creations!
