Foiled Shaker Card
Hey y'all!! I'm so glad you dropped by today. I have a foiled shaker card for you that I have fallen in love with. I will be giving it to myself for my birthday in November! LOL.
To create this shining, shimmering, splendid wonder, I foiled a Card Panel from the Love Bug Inspiration Box with some Purple Sketch DecoFoil designed by our very own Christopher Alan for Therm O Web. Some of you may have seen me foil it on my Facebook Live Video last week.
For the shaker window, I die cut two rings out of some purple cardstock with a scalloped circle die set, along with a piece of acetate. Then, I adhered the acetate pane to the back of one of the rings with some glue. I covered the back of the ring with some black foam tape from Brutus Monroe. Then I added the other purple ring to the back of the window. I lined the back of the last ring with some strong double-sided tape.
I poured some shaker bits into the center of the window and added some B|M Micro Pearls to the mix. Then I slapped the foiled panel onto the back of the filled shaker window and sang the song of my people! (Shake It Up Baby Now and I danced like no one was lookin' ...ahem back to the card)
For the sentiment, I stamped the Happy Birthday image from the Super Sentimental stamp set onto some dark violet cardstock with B|M Clear Embossing Ink and heat embossed it with Alabaster Embossing Powder. Then I stamped out the little bear with a cupcake and party hat from the Birthday Bears stamp set and colored it in with Nuvo Aqua Flow Brush Pens. I fussy cut them both out with my B|M Fussy Cuttin' Scissors and adhered them to the front of the shaker window with some B|M All Purpose Craft Glue.
I hope you enjoyed this shiny little birthday blessing as much as I did. I'd love to see your own creations using the Purple Sketch Foil Sheets. I have listed all the supplies in the grid below. I really appreciate you hanging out with me for a little bit today. Remember to Create Your Own Ending.
