Foiled Clear Toner Sheets + Background Stamp

Foiled Clear Toner Sheets + Background Stamp

Hello crafty friends! Lauren here, sharing a card I made with one of the Brutus Monroe/Unity collaboration background stamps and a foiled clear toner sheet! I started with a piece of Alabaster cardstock, and stamped the Freshly Cut background stamp with Raven detail ink. Then I cut down one of the "Loopy" clear toner sheets to the same size as the background. I ran it through my Minc machine with Red DecoFoil. I glued it to the background using a fine-tip applicator and placing small amounts of glue along the back of the foiled areas so that the glue would not show through the clear areas. The sentiment is an SVG file from Brutus Monroe which I downloaded into Design Space to use with my Cricut machine. If you haven't checked out their SVG files, they have some great ones! There are some stencil files and sentiments, and even some that coordinate with their stamp sets! They're super cost-effective if you own an electronic die cutting system. The SVG actually comes with 3 layers, the main one and two shadow bubbles, but I chose to use just the sentiment and the biggest shadow. I cut the shadow from vellum, and I cut the sentiment four times from Alabaster cardstock to layer it up for some dimension. I adhered the sentiment to a strip of Scarlet glitterstock. I am really loving the foiled look lately!
