Foiled and Ink Blended Merry & Bright Card

Hello crafty friends! Lauren here, starting off your Friday with this foiled, ink blended Christmas card. I can't get enough of the Gold Static DecoFoil for holiday cards, so I used it here today on the Peppermint Twist toner sheet.

The toner sheet packs come with some that are transparent and some that are on a white background. For this card I chose a piece with the white background. I foiled the pattern in my laminator and then blended "Plum" and "Aubergine" surface inks over the top. I used a dry cloth to buff any excess ink off the foiled areas and it works perfectly to resist the ink! I used white acrylic paint with some water and a paintbrush to give a fine snowy looking splatter all over the background. I heat embossed the sentiment onto Alabaster cardstock with Gilded EP, and used scissors to fussy cut around the edge. Using foam tape, I adhered it to the middle of the card, and then matted the whole front on a piece of Alabaster cardstock, and then Gilded Glitterstock.

Have you tried any of the foiling products for your holiday cards? Brutus Monroe and ThermoWeb are a dynamite collaboration team! I can't get enough of their products. Post your creations to social media, and be sure to use the hashtags #BrutusMonroe and #CreateYourOwnEnding so we can see what you make! Have a wonderful weekend.
