Foiled Birthday Card - shaker card
Hello crafty folks,
Today we have a colorful shaker birthday card made with Deco Foil Transfer Sheets in Green Sketch on a Deco Foil toner sheet. Green Sketch is from the Brutus Monroe line of foil products made in collaboration with Deco Foil. Please check out all the cool designs of foil that Brutus Monroe has. Foil is an excellent way to jazz up a card front with a small amount of effort. There are many Brutus Monroe toner sheets that have great designs on them that are just waiting for foil and a crafter's imagination to create great cards. How easy is that, to make a card in minutes!
This is a 6 inch square card with a 5 1/2 inch square layer one cut from Lawn Fawn paper. Out of this layer one, a Happy Birthday die was used to cut the greeting. To the backside of this layer clear plastic was adhered. The Deco Foil Toner sheet was foiled using the Brutus Monroe Green Sketch foil and cut to 5 inches square. Next attached the foil layer to the card front, then added foam tape around the edge. I filled the "well" created with sequins and beads and attached the layer one cardstock sheet forming the shaker card.
Now to finishing off this simple birthday card I added the birthday bear from the Brutus Monroe Birthday Bears stamp set. Our little guy was colored using StyleFile Markers and added to the lower right corner of the greeting. A few sequins were added to the card front and this fun colorful card is complete!
Have fun making your own birthday cards using foil and toner sheets. We would love to see the cards you make using foil. Share with us on the Brutus Monroe Facebook Fan Page.
