Hi everyone! It’s Leigh from Stitches in Paper and I am so happy to be here today sharing this happy card made with the amazing Flower Doodle stamp set from Brutus Monroe. Did you see this stamp featured on Jennifer McGuire’s Favorite Crafty Things? This honor is incredibly well-deserved because this stamp set is just perfect for those of us who love to color!
I recently treated myself to some new colored pencils and decided to break them in with this set. I started by stamping the image in a light-colored ink so I could try a no-line look. After that, all there was to do was pull out a fun rainbow of colored pencils and start coloring! This image was full of nooks and crannies and was perfect for practicing shading and blending colors. I added some additional details using a white gel pen around the image.
I fussy cut out the image to fit onto a A2 notecard and popped it up on some foam tape for dimension. I stamped the sentiment from the set onto an A2 card base and did some quick ink blending in aqua for a highlight. I then decided to stitch over the sentiment in a fun rainbow of colors to coordinate with the flowers.
How fun is this stamp? I cannot recommend this set any higher for those who want to practice some fun, relaxing coloring (this would be perfect for the next Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge!)
I hope you enjoyed this project! If you have any questions or comments, I’d love to hear them so please drop me a line below. Thanks so much for checking out my card and have a wonderful day!
