Fish Bowl Card with Jess

Fish Bowl Card with Jess

Hey friends!

I'm back on the Brutus Monroe blog today with a fun nautical card featuring the Fish Bowl stamp set. This set was recently plucked from retirement and is available to purchase on the website while supplies last - if you've had your eye on it, snatch it up before it's gone again!

I started my card by swiping some of the Surface Ink cubes across a piece of white card stock. I used Rock Candy, Sea, Lapis, and Midnight. Then, I layered the Folk Wave stencil on top and blended ink on to give the appearance of waves on water.

Next, I stamped out and colored a few of the adorable ocean critters from Fish Bowl. I chose a whale and two of the little octopi (or squids?). I fussy cut them and popped the two larger images up on foam tape for some added interest and dimension.

I used the 'drifting around the waves' sentiment from 'Be Brave' and stamped it with Embossing Ink. I treated my surface with the Magic Powder Bag first to make sure I got a clean embossed image. I used my heat tool to melt the Mermaid Tail Embossing Powder for a subtle sentiment.

I added a few of the clear acrylic bubbles to amplify the 'under water' vibe and then mounted my card front on a white A2 sized card base using foam tape. That finished off my card for today! This one didn't take long at all - those are my favorite kinds of projects. We can all use more quick projects that still look great!

Hugs and love,
