Feeling Lucky - New Job!
Hello Creative Friends,
Today I am creating with the Brutus Monroe Feeling Lucky stamp set from the December Inspiration Box. You can still get this stamp set by itself at the Brutus Monroe store. I often like to take one element and a sentiment from a stamp set and create a card that would not always pop into mind. I am a big fan of mixing and matching stamps from various sets to create a totally different look. I like to think it is a great way to stretch our stamp budget by creating a new stamp set by using this method. Brutus Monroe pairs well with almost any stamp set you may own from the past. Give it a try.
The background is created by stamping a wood look floor (Unity/Brutus Monroe background stamp "Barn Wall") and using striped paper. I then took the claw machine stamp from Lawn Fawn and altered it by cutting away the inside and adding shamrocks from the Lucky You set. Added a mirrored back to machine and added clear plastic over the shamrocks to give the machine dimension. Machine and shamrocks were colored using Style File and Copic markers. Some of the shamrocks were attached using foam tape. Sentiment from the Lucky You set was stamped onto an Alabaster/white banner in Raven Detail Ink.
I encourage you to pick out two totally different stamp sets and create your own look. Then share with us on the Brutus Monroe Facebook Fan page.
