Falling into Autumn

Hi and welcome back, Joy here with a few fall cards to share with you from Brutus Monroe. I'm really trying to hang on to the last few day of summer, but I'm not going to lie I'm starting to crave pumpkin spiced lattes, and cooler, crisp weather. Both cards I'm sharing I think will spark the inner you love for the bright Autumn colors that are in our near future. I'm really trying to hang on to the last few day of summer, but I'm not going to lie I'm starting to crave pumpkin spiced lattes, and cooler, crisp weather. Both cards I'm sharing I think will spark the inner you that loves the bright Autumn colors in our near future. I used a few stamp sets today Farm House Friends, Falliday, Plaid Piece, and Super Sentimental.

My first card is a 6 inch square card, because I adore this size card. I used the Plaid Piece stamp to make the focal point, by stamping it in two colors, and the die cut it using the Foundations Circle dies. The truck from Farmhouse Friends was colored with alcohol markers and popped up using foam tape. Do you love the background paper, well it's a downloadable called Autumn Harvest. I stamped the thankful for you sentiment using my Misti, Super Sentimental stamp set, and Raven Detail ink and then formed a banner. To add dimension and interest, I used my cutting machine and pre-loaded leaf templates and inked them using Simon Hurley inks . I made a simple jute bow to add a bit of embellishment and called it done!

My second card is a traditional A2 size and features metallics, which I think are so special in Autumn and couldn't wait to make it. I used the Falliday stamp set using the various leaf and leaf vein images to make this background. I stamped the images with the metallic hyper pigments which I sponged onto my stamps. In some instances I added galaxy powders (gold, satellite silver, and big bang bronze) to bring them out just a bit more. Typically hyper pigments are used on smooth card stock which is why I brought the galaxy powders in. Once the solid images were dry, I embossed the veins with embossing ink, and Penny metallic embossing powder. The sentiment was stamped with Simon Hurley grr ink, using my Misti and die cut out. The added flora die cut using Gilded card stock and Sterling card stock. These new card stocks are just beautiful! I can't wait for you to get your hands on them!!!
