Fall Foliage

Fall Foliage

Hello friends! Kathy here today with a fall inspired card using the Fall Florals stamps and coordinating dies, and Chroma Mists.

Here are the supplies you will need to get started:

To start mist the watercolor panel with a light spray of water.

Place several spritzes of Bumblebee Yellow, Tangerine Orange, Yellow Orange and Ornament Gold Chroma Mist on the paper followed with a few light sprays of water to help move and combine the colors.

Add a spray or two of the Acorn Chroma Mist and then splatter some Hunter and Auburn Chroma Mist on the panel. Mist with water again to move the colors. Set aside to dry.

After the panel is dry use a paint brush to splatter drops of Acorn Chroma Mist on the background. Repeat until you are satisfied with the background.

Select several of the small images and stamp on the background panel with Raven Detail ink.

Also stamp the large sunflower and sentiment on a piece of Perfect Blend cardstock.

Color the sunflower with your preferred medium. (I used alcohol markers.) Die cut all pieces and set aside.

Position the branch portion of the stencil just left of center on the Kraft panel. Mask the lower edge of the wreath and the outside edge of the stencil. Ink the image using a dark brown ink.

Flip the stencil and repeat on the right side.

Spread Alabaster glitter glaze over the image as positioned on the right side of the panel. Carefully lift the stencil. Allow to dry.

Position the stencil over the inked image on the left and apply glitter glaze. Remove the stencil and allow the panel to dry.

Splatter the image with Acorn Chroma Mist and distress the outside edges of the panel with brown ink.

Trim the sentiment and adhere to a brown piece of cardstock.

Adhere the Kraft panel to a white card base with liquid glue. Position the sunflower at the center of the branches, add a few of the die cut images behind for interest. (Be sure to save the images you don't use for another project!) Once you are happy with the placement, adhere all pieces in place, using foam tape on the sunflower to pop it up.

Adhere the sentiment along the lower edge of the panel using foam tape.

Add a few decorative enamel or pearl embellishments around the panel to finish.

Happy Fall!
