Dutch Barn Fold Card

Dutch Barn Fold Card

Hello Hello! I am excited to share this fun fold with you. I used an adaptation from craftykarendesigns to create this using 8 ½ x 11 paper. This is a really simple but fun card base to work with. There are simply so many possibilities with this one!

To create your base, cut a piece of cardstock to 5” x 11” and score at 7”.

Use the same cardstock to cut two 3” x 3 ½” pieces (these will become bottom flaps). Score at ½” along the long side (this is where you will attach to the base).

Crease along the score lines.

Fold top of base over and round the corners of the flap.

For bottom flaps, cut two pieces of cardstock in desired colors to 2 ¼” x 3 ¼” and adhere to the flaps. Cut two card panels from pattern paper (I used card panels from the Prehistoric Inspiration Box) to 2’ x 3” and adhere to flaps.

Attach flaps to either side of the bottom of the card. Line them up flush with the bottom of the card.

For the inside panel cut a panel of cardstock to 4 ½” x 6 ½” and adhere to the panel covering the tabs from the flaps.

For the top flap cut a mat in desired color to 4 ¾” x 3 ¾”. Round the bottom corners.

Cut a panel from pattern paper (I used Rainbow Dot) to 4 ½” x 3 ½”. Round bottom corners and then adhere these pieces together.

I embellished mostly with Birds of a Feather stickers, a few die cuts and some twine. Then I adhered this to the top flap

I also added a little magnet for the closure.
