Dragonfly Garden Ombre Card with Jess

Dragonfly Garden Ombre Card with Jess

Hello!

It's Jess! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Even though it's Monday, we can still get excited about things, right? I'm excited to share this card I made using the Dragonfly Garden stamp set from Brutus Monroe. This was my first time using this set and I'm in love with these images! I started off my card by using some of the wildflower stamps. I wanted to do something a little unexpected, so I made them 'hang' from the top of my card, instead of being planted at the bottom. I really like how this turned out. Next, I did some ink blending using Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio. I blended this out until it faded to white towards the bottom. Then, I stamped my wagon image. Look how large it is! I colored the wagon using Copic markers, but I decided to leave the flowers uncolored so that more of the ink blended background would show through on the card. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment 'hello' on black cardstock. I popped the sentiment up on foam for a little dimension and then added a few champagne colored sequins for a bit of sparkle. I love the way this card turned out. I know everyone is knee deep in Christmas and holiday cards right now, but it felt nice to create something different this week. Not to worry, though - the team has a bunch of inspiration coming your way this Wednesday with our Christmas Card themed blog hop!

Hugs and love to you all,
