Die of the Month Shaker Card

Die of the Month Shaker Card

Hello crafty friends! Lauren here, sharing a shaker card I made with the die of the month! Have you checked out this latest subscription product yet? An exclusive cover plate die delivered straight to you each month!

I started by die cutting a sheet of Gilded glitterstock. I adhered a transparency sheet to the back with glue, and lined the outside edge with foam tape. I sprinkled a generous amount of some flat clear circles into the middle and put a sheet of midnight cardstock on the back. I took a scrap of midnight cardstock and heat embossed the sentiment with Gilded embossing powder, and trimmed it down to a vertical banner shape.

Next, I coated the frames of the chipboard sunglasses with embossing ink and sprinkled embossing powder, alternating Coffee Grounds and Gilded to create the tortoise shell color effect. Then I brushed the lenses with DecoFoil transfer gel. After they dried, I ran them through the laminator with Amber watercolor DecoFoil, and taped them into place on the back of the glasses framed. Finally, I adhered the banner to the glasses, and popped them up on the card front with foam tape.

Love, love, love those glasses. I used to wear glasses every day. Now, I think I’ll add them to my cards.
