Create Your Own Sunshine

Hi everyone! This week, I wanted to try the velveteen glaze in a scrapbook layout.  I love creating mixed media everything for my scrapbook! I used the Night Sky Velveteen Glaze and Downpour stencil to create rain like drops that would set the tone for my layout.  Once the glaze was applied to my background and dry, I used Aqua Pigments in Blue Green, Red and Yellow to mix the rainbow of colors.  (If you try this, make sure you gesso your page first!) Once it was dry, I layered my papers, photo and embellishments and all of the extra finishing touches to complete this project.  The velveteen glaze was the perfect accent! It was easy to work with, dried matte and also was flat. It didn't have the raised texture like modeling paste, which makes it very easy to embellish!
