Create Your Own Patterned Paper!

Create Your Own Patterned Paper!

If you are like me, you have a ton of patterned paper. But sometimes you want a specific design or color scheme. Instead of going out and buying paper, you can make your own. The Donut Maker stencil is the perfect tool to have in your stash.

I took a larger-than-I-needed piece of Perfect Blend cardstock. I ink blended just two layers of the donut (the cake part and the glaze) using Distress Oxide ink. There are 2 more layers in the stencil if you want to add more details. But I knew I wanted to use the Sprinkle Spread, so I stopped at the 2 layers.  I also used strips of masking paper to block off the areas I didn't want to get ink on.

The Sprinkle Spread has so much detail (sprinkles AND glitter) so just make sure it dries (overnight worked best for me). This simple card was just what I wanted...and no trip to the patterned paper aisle!
