Cool Greatest Dad

Made a super quick Cool Greatest Dad greeting card using the May Stamp club set and the cool cat from Rockstar Pets and Chameleon pens. Do you have a cool, hip dad to celebrate on Father's day? Or even someone you admire for being a great dad, this is a fun card to make for them.

Supplies used for Cool Greatest Dad greeting card:
Brutus Monroe Detail Ink - Raven
May Stamp of the month set
Rockstar pets - Cat image
Suede Surface Ink
Chameleon Pens
Craft glue

For this card I decided to keep it very simple and quick. A standard A2 greeting card base was used. The topper is just slightly smaller. I like doing my toppers like this especially if I'm using white cardstock. This way I can add color to the edge of the paper and it looks like I used more than one layer, when I really only used one.

My MISTI is a very handy tool and I used it to stamp the images all at once. I placed the paper in my MISTI then arranged the stamps. Inked with Detail Ink and then it is time to color.

Using two shades of yellow of my Chameleon pens I colored the cat.

To get color around the edge of the card I used Suede surface ink on the edge and directly on the paper. Use a light hand and barely touch the paper for a very soft grunge look.

Last I used Brutus Monroe Craft glue to adhere the topper to the card base.

That's it! Super quick Cool Greatest Dad greeting card is done and ready to be given away.
