Conservatory of Quotes | Watercolor

Hello and Happy Tuesday Everyone!
Today I did a little watercoloring with some Distress Oxide Inks. I used this beautiful flower stamp called Conservatory of Quotes with Gilded embossing powder! Love!

Did you know that Brutus Monroe carries watercolor cardstock?

I began my card with by stamping in my Misti with the Brutus Monroe Embossing Ink. I always stamp twice when stamping on watercolor paper/cardstock to be sure to get a good impression. Then heat set with Gilded embossing power, so pretty.

Now is where the Media Mat from Brutus Monroe comes in handy, to watercolor with ink. Easy clean up and the ink will not stain the mat. I used my Distress Oxides to watercolor and smooched a little ink on my media mat with each color I wanted to use. Using my Brutus Monroe waterbrush, I began with Worn Lipstick and then used Picked Raspberry to add contrast. For the green on the leaves I used Cracked Pistachio and Peeled Paint.

Once completed I heat embossed the sentiment Hello in the same gold embossing powder. I cut my panel down with a dotted rectangled die and adhered it down with Brutus Monroe craft glue to an A2 sized top folding note card in hot pink.

To finished my card I carefully added Wink of Stella to the flowers trying not to reactivate the ink. I also added Stickles to each of the flower petals, which may be hard to see in the photo, but in real life it's so pretty. Then added some Acrylic Bubbles for interest.

And that's my card for today!

Thanks for stopping by,

Lori
