Cloud stenciling with this month’s embossing powder
Hi everyone, Luisana here with another card for you all this week.
This week I bring you a really cool technique using cloud stencils and embossing powder.
I want to showcase this month’s embossing powder, it’s color is so vibrant and beautiful.
I have made cloud backgrounds many times in the past using a stencil and ink cubes, but I thought what is stopping me from trying this technique with embossing ink and embossing powders, so I have it a whirl.
This was a multi step process, as I needed to use anti static powder, embossing ink, embossing powder and heat set every row. I did one row of clouds at a time, following the steps mentioned above before every row of clouds. This ensured perfect inking and embossing in each cloud.
The embossing powder truly made this process a breeze, I was unsure at first about whether it would work the way I had envisioned it but man did it work!
I cut my panel tu measure 3.75x5 inches. I cut a different card to measure 4x5.25 inches and I inked the edges with my Brutus Monroe embossing ink and covered it with the same embossing powder and heat set it. Last, I cut a white card to measure 4.25 x 5.5 inches. I layered the panels on top of one another and picked a sentiment from the “super sentimental” set. I embellished the card by adding some metal wire accents behind the sentiment and called it a day.
That is is from me today. Thank you for reading this far and I hope you try this technique soon.
Much loves,
Luisana.
