Clear Toner Sheet & Glitter Glaze New Year's Card

Clear Toner Sheet & Glitter Glaze New Year's Card

Happy New Year Brutus Fans! Lauren here, sharing what miiiiight be my favorite clear toner sheet foiled card I've made so far! New Year's is the perfect time to break out all the sparkle and shine.

I started out by using the Gold glitter glaze with the Birthday Circle stencil onto white cardstock. Although the stencil is technically a birthday stencil, it has stars, confetti, balloons and lots of party-style images so it still works for New Year. After it dried, I trimmed it down so that the stenciled image filled most of the panel. I used a "Loopy" clear toner sheet and foiled it with the Amber Watercolor decofoil, which is this beautiful mix of gold tones. I trimmed it and scored it so that it became a top-folding card. I used Brutus Monroe liquid glue behind the foiled loops to adhere the glitter glaze panel to the front opening flap of the clear toner card. I left something heavy on it for a while to make sure it stuck really well. I cut a larger panel of Alabaster cardstock to go on the back flap, so that the black underside of the foiled loops didn't show through to the front.

I cut a hexagon shape with one of the stitched dies from Alabaster cardstock, and I masked off the "happy" from the "happy holidays" stamp from the Oh Deer stamp set. I heat embossed "happy" with Gilded EP, and then die cut the 2019 from metallic gold carstock with the Numbers die set. I popped the hexagon up with foam tape to finish it off.
