Clean and Simple Card for Teens or Gamers
Hey friends!
I'm excited to be on the Brutus Monroe blog today with a fun card for the gamer or maybe even the teen in your life. This could be an awesome card for them to give to one of their friends as well! Let's get started.
I grabbed the Gamer stamp set and some warm grey ink. I stamped the controller buttons in a zig zag sort of pattern across one side of my card panel. I love how this turned out.
Next, I decided to use the adorable little handheld game to break up the left side of my card front. I stamped it in Raven Detail Ink and then used a few Copic markers to color it in. I used a Warm Grey Copic to put a little shadow around the base so it didn't look like it was floating in the middle of the card.
I decided to do a little collaboration of sentiment stamps for this card. For the repeated 'thanks' inside the screen, I used a small stamp from Lawn Fawn's 'Love Letters.' For the 'thanks' over on the right side, I used 'Thanks' from Simon Says Stamp. I also added in the 'DUDE' stamp from Simon Hurley's new set called Dudes Too. I thought this combination of sentiments was perfect!
I matted my card front with black card stock and mounted this on a white card base. I used every ounce of willpower in me to walk away from the card at that exact moment. You guys know how much I love embellishments, so this was no small feat, but I thought simple was best for this card!
What do you think? Drop me a comment and let me know if you know a gamer or teen who would love this card.
Hugs and love,
