Circle Wreath Card using Judy’s Wreath Dies

Circle Wreath Card using Judy’s Wreath Dies

Hi guys, Shannon here. I want to tell you how much I am loving the new dies that were released in January. There are so many fabulous sets and you can even purchase them all in a bundle while supplies last. So if you have seen any of my lives or a lot of my projects, you know I am a big fan of flowers. I am naturally drawn to the two beautiful wreath sets that came out in the release. I received the Judy’s Wreath dies first and this is my first of I am sure many projects using them.

To create our circle card, of course we need circles! I used the Foundation Circle Dies in the largest size to cut my card base circles and printed card panel. I used the next size down to create the center circle on the card.

To create the base I scored the top of one my circles at ½ inch. Next I glued the top of the circle above the scoreline to the other cardstock circle to create our card base.

I adhered the printed paper to my cardbase and added the center circle.

I die cut a variety of flowers and foliage as well as the “hello” sentiment and outline. I like to cut more than I think I will use so that I don’t have to stop what I am doing once I am on a roll. I store the extras with my die set for future projects. If you use an adhesive sheet with your cardstock or preferred paper, it can save you a lot of time and fuss with glueing. I would use that mainly for the wreath though, so that you can use foam adhesive to get more dimension on some of the flowers.

I glued my wreath die cut down first. Next I glued the sentiment die to it’s outline piece. I found it easier to arrange the wreath when the sentiment was in place first. I did that using foam adhesive.

For the remaining pieces I tried arranging them with an uneven number of an item between the two sides of the wreath. I like the way a less symmetrical arrangement looks. Take your time and play around with the pieces. To watch this process watch the tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCxyhGff3l4&t=82s
