Christmas Crafting with Adam Part 3 -- Place Cards

Christmas Crafting with Adam Part 3 -- Place Cards

Hi friends,

Here we are in week three of prepping for our Christmas Holidays! Time certainly flys by and we often feel like we are not getting enough done. Just remember during these hectic times whatever you do is enough.

This year I thought it would be fun to make table place cards for our Christmas feast. (Be sure and tell your guest to take their name tag home with them.) Again we are using stamps from the Yuletide Greetings stamp set by Brutus Monroe. I must confess that these place cards turned out to be a little more time consuming then I had originally thought. You can always make just the name and tag part and not put it on a card with the additional decoration to cut down on prep time.

I started with a base card in Cranberry card stock (made from 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 folded in half) and added the die cut tag in gold glitter stock. Next die cut an oval out of Not Your Momma's white for the name of your guest.  The letters are die cut using Brutus Monroe Alphebet dies. Splatter the white oval with Guilded Liquid Elements and add the name.  Choose a stamp from the Yule Tide Greetings stamp set to embellish the place card.  Color the elements using Style File markers.  To finish the place card, use double sided tape to make the edge design and cover with Powdered Elements - Guilded to form the gold trim. Now you are ready for Christmas dinner!

Thanks for following along on this journey to a paper crafted Christmas. Please check back next week for the final addition to this series of Prepping for Christmas.

Merry Christmas!
