Christmas Cards with Brutus Monroe

Are you still working on your Christmas Cards? Maybe you have finished this year's and have already started your cards for 2018! Either way, Brutus Monroe has a number of fantastic Christmas stamp sets that can help you build cards quickly and easily! I'll be sharing a few examples of fun cards in my post today!

First up is this simple card created using the PINE AND BERRY background stamp. I simply stamped the image, colored it in with colored pencils, and then cut it down to size. The sentiment is from the JINGLE ALL THE WAY set, and is embossed in GILDED on a strip of vellum.

This card was created quite simply, as well. I first embossed a subtle woodgrain background in ALABASTER. I made sure to mask off the bottom right corner so I could stamp the FESTIVE DEER using the surface ink WAGON. I used my Misti to stamp several times in order to get a nice, bold image. Then, I layered a few simple elements over the deer to finish the card.

This card came together quickly, and I left it fairly simple as well to let the stunning Christmas tree stand out. This stamp was part of one of the INSPIRATION BOXES. If you are interested in the Inspiration Boxes, you can sign up for a subscription so you never miss one! I ink blended the red background over the tree that I stamped and embossed in GILDED. The striped paper on the left side was embossing paste over the TIRE TRACKS STENCIL. I finished the card with a few sequins on the tree.

For my final card today, Im sharing this clean and simple poinsettia card. I stamped this card using the set from the recent CHRISTMAS CARD KIT. Then, I colored in the images using my STYLEFILE MARKERS. The sentiment is stamped again using GILDED EMBOSSING POWDER (can you tell that's my favorite embossing powder ever?). I attached the colored panel to my card base, added some sparkle with some Wink of Stella, and that finished the card!

I hope these examples have given to some ideas and inspiration for your holiday cards! Happy creating and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Until next week,
