CAS: Brutus Thank you card

Hi everyone! It is Verity here again from Pretty Little Buttonso good to be back up on the blog again. Hope you are having a great week, I have been having an eventful week as my computer is not working. However, I am borrowing the use of a laptop so I can get this post to you! I really like the clean and simple look of this card, I hope you do to. It is very quick to come together, so it is great for a last minute make!

Clean and simple Brutus thank you card details:

To start making this card, stamp the Dog house from the Brutus and friends stamp set in a waterproof ink onto watercolour paper, cut down to a card panel size. If you would prefer to colour this in with markers rather then watercolour, adjust you ink accordingly.

On another separate piece of paper, stamp any additional images from the stamp set in the same ink. I loved the Brutus stamp and dog bowl, and used these to make the scene. Once the ink was dry, you may need to use your heat gun if you're impatient, colour the images in. As I mentioned, I coloured these in watercolour, but any medium can work.

Once all your colouring is complete, fussy cut out your additional stamped images, but leave your card panel with the dog house intact. Before foam mounting your stamped images to create a design, I took inspiration from a revived technique that Yana Smakula likes to use. I added some embossed score lines with my scoring board, making sure I didn't score my stamped image - the dog house. This adds a little depth and interest to the background, but still keeps it clean and simple.
