Brutus Monroe & Unity Stamps

 Happy Easter crafting friends,

Today's card is a quick and simple one using the Unity background stamp Vintage Burlap made in unison with Brutus Monroe. These background stamps are perfect for making A-2 size cards (4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches).

I started this card by choosing my sentiment from the Brutus Monroe Super Sentimental stamp set. I made a A-2 card base using Brutus Monroe Alabaster white card stock and stamping the sentiment onto the lower right section using the same color ink I will stamp the Vintage Burlap stamp in.

Next I cut a strip of Alabaster card stock 2 x 5 1/2 inches to blend several colors of Tim Holtz oxide ink onto. These colors are any three colors that you think look good blended together. Using the same ink as the sentiment I stamped the Vintage Burlap background stamp over the blended background created on the small piece of card stock. After inking the piece I cut it into three sections. The middle section larger then the outside sections which are of equal width.  These pieces were then adhered to the card base with a slight space between them.

The final step was to add a little bling in the form of acrylic bubbles. I feel this makes a great card layout for any occasion by simply changing the sentiment and the blended ink colors. I hope you give it a try and see how quickly you can come up with a card for any last minute needs you may have.
