Brutus Monroe DOM and Gemini Foilpress

 Hello Friends,

Adam here to share with you a fun and new product I have just gotten. I am so happy to use the Gemini Foil Press by Crafter's Companion with my wonderful and creative Die of the Month from Brutus Monroe. Brutus Monroe creates a new die each and every month. I love the great monthly clubs that Brutus Monroe offers and I do love dies to create with.

The Gemini Heat Press is the perfect companion for the Die of the Month Club. All the thin dies you currently own and will be acquiring work well with the Foil Press. Instead of cutting out the die (which we obviously will be doing in future cards) I am foiling the cut lines using the Foil Press. This is just another way to create a beautiful background for our card creations with little effort.

I started this card by foiling the July Die of the Month - Petals design onto Alabaster white cardstock. This die is the perfect size for a background of an A2 card. I then die cut out some leaves in green and purple. I shaded the leaves using StyleFile Markers hoping to create the look of flower buds.

Next I used the sentiment from the Brutus Monroe - Flower Doodle stamp set and embossed it onto a tag I cut out of green cardstock using Alabaster Embossing Powder by Brutus Monroe. Now it is time to assemble the card. I first adhered the sentiment using ribbon to the card front, then attached the foiled layer to a purple card base. Now I tucked in the leaves/flower buds behind the tag and ribbon. I added a few glittered acrylic bubbles and my card was complete.

Using the Gemini Foil Press has allowed me to make a quick and easy card with a very elegant look. You do not need a lot of elements when you create a beautiful background to be the focus of the card. The Brutus Monroe Die of the Month is just that: beautiful and elegant!

Please share your creations with us on the Brutus Monroe Facebook Fan Page. As always we enjoying seeing them.

Enjoy
