Bright and Cheery Fall Card

Bright and Cheery Fall Card

Fall is my absolute favorite time of year to craft! The colors and themes are just beautiful and Brutus Monroe has some amazing products that are perfect for Fall crafts!

This week I created a bright and cheerful slimline card featuring the new Wooded Forest Stand Alone Die and Fall Forest Paper collection! I also used some other fun Brustus Monroe goodies as listed below.

Wooded Forest Stand Alone Die
Fall Forest 8X8 Paper pad
Weathered Wood 6X6 Paper pad
Metallic Chroma Glaze Opal
Glitter Glaze Fallen Snow
Slimline Card Panels

To create my card I started by adding a matte of olive green paper to my slimline card base.I then used an oval die from my stash to cut an oval from a sheet of the designer paper.

Using a distressing tool, I distressed the raw edges including the oval and then inked with brown ink. Next I added foam adhesive to the back of the frame.

Be sure to cut the foam thin enough for the sides to ensure that it does not show. Next I cut the Wodded Forest die from a sheet of the Weathered Wood papers in a red color. I cut two of them. I layed them on the paper with the oval frame piece over to position where I wanted it before gluing the die cut to the matte. Once I had it placed and glued I removed the backing from the foam adhesive on the oval frame and adhered it leaving the upper unglued portions of the branches sticking out.

To build the front scene, I fussy cut leaves, flower, and bird from the Fall Forest papers and added them at different levels using foam adhesive squares.

I used a small paintbrush to add some Opal Metalic Chroma Glaze and Fallen Snow Glitter Glaze to some of the fussy cut pieces for some sparkle and shine.

To add some depth to my card I splattered some white acrylic on the front.

Thanks so much for viewing my post today! have an amazing crafty day!

I love this card. I never thought of using bright colors like that for fall.
