Bridal Guest Book - Special Day Stamp Set

I highly recommend checking out all of the videos during the craftathon, which celebrated the release of 21 new stamp sets! For this particular project I used a new set called "Special Day". It immediately looks like a bridal set, but I also showed some project examples with ideas for other occasions. I had already started the book itself, which is handmade using simple materials like cereal box cardboard and plain cardstock. I used gold glitterstock for the spine, and used the jagged heart stencil with Gilded embossing powder for the background. During the live video, I stamped the dress image and embossed it with Gilded EP. I painted it with a touch of Gilded aqua pigment and glued a tiny gold thread bow to the waistline. I trimmed the image down and backed it with gold metallic paper, and stuck it to the front of the book with foam tape. I heat embossed the sentiments onto gold metallic paper as well, using Alabaster EP. I adhered them both with foam tape and attached them to the book cover. I attached some gold and white tassels to the front elastic cord to finish it off. In the video I gave some examples for ways to color or change the shape of the dress, which I'll show in a couple of upcoming posts! Off camera, I did type up and print my own insert pages for the notebook and I added a photograph here to the post.
