Botanical Banners with Guest Designer, Marisabel!

Botanical Banners with Guest Designer, Marisabel!

What’s going on creative friends? I’m Marisabel, from Witchtionery and I hope you’re ready to get crafty with me. Today, I am creating a card using the Brutus Monroe “Botanical Banners” stamp set. I absolutely love this stamp set. The rose stamp is absolutely stunning. It’s perfect for Valentine’s Day cards, Mother’s day, Anniversaries, and so much more.

To start this project, I pulled out some Stathmore watercolor paper and my Mini Misti Stamping tool. I used clear embossing ink to stamp the floral pattern a few times. My goal was to have multiples of this stamp, so I could fussy cut some of the flowers out. Doing so this allows you to be able to position this stamp in multiple way, thus opening up its versatility.

I heat embossed the flowers with Ranger “Gold” Embossing powder. Next, I began to use my Zig Clean Color Real brush markers to color in the roses. I also used some of my Prismacolor pencils to add more depth to my flowers. Obviously, depending on the occasion, you may color these whichever ways you’d like. I, personally adore orange and yellow roses.

After, I was done coloring all of these roses I began experimenting with the layout. I made a card panel out of a scrap piece of 80lb white card stock. Because we had fussy cut the roses, I decided to play with dimension and layer the roses throughout the left-hand side of my card panel.  I used a combination of foam squares and multi medium matte glue to adhere my roses to my panel.

Once they were on my card panel, I took out some Memento “Tuxedo Black” ink to stamp down the sentiment “Thinking of you” to the right-hand side of my card. Finally, I adhered my card panel to a light green card base and toped the whole thing with Pretty Pink Posh, “Clear droplet” sequins.

That’s it ! Well guys, thank you for joining me today during my guest design spot. It has been a lot of fun to get crafty with you guys today.

Thank you so much,

-Marisabel
