Botanical Banners Floral Embossed Frame card

Botanical Banners Floral Embossed Frame card

Hi everyone! It is Verity here again from Pretty Little Buttonso good to be back up on the blog again. It was Mother's day in the UK last weekend and I used the gorgeous Botanical Banners stamp set to create this beautiful and elegant floral frame card to give to my Mum. Only one stamp was used to create the frame which highlighted the sentiment for the card. Read on to see how it came together!

Botanical Banners Floral Embossed Frame card details:

Start off by stamping the flowers from the Botanical Banners stamp set onto a crafter panel in a soft light ink or use Brutus Monroe Clear Embossing ink. As I had planned to heat emboss this, I stamped and coloured all my images using a stamp positioner tool. However, you can use acrylic blocks and heat emboss as you go along.
If you are using a stamp positioner, stamp your first image, colour this in and then re-stamp and cover with embossing powder. However, wait until the end before you heat set. Remember to rotate the stamp for added variation. In addition, stamp several images on some scrap kraft card to fussy cut out.

To colour the flowers in I used coloured pencils. To start off I laid a base layer of white pencil down and build up the colour with the coloured pencils. You can use the white pencil to help smooth and blend your shading.

Fussy cut out any additional images and foam mount onto the card panel. Stamp and heat emboss and sentiment and foam mount the panel on a white card base. Lastly embellish your card, I used nuvo drops but sequins would work just as well.
