Birthday Bears Wish for You

Today I'm bringing you one of my newest cards, using Brutus Monroe's Birthday Bears. These funny little fellows are sure to make you smile!

To make this card I stamped the images on 110# Neenah card stock and used Copic markers* for coloring. The heavy lines of these images make fussy cutting them out a breeze. You will see that I cut the balloon strings away and trimmed closely around the cluster of balloons.

The card base is Kraft 51/2" square and I used my Pink & Main Scalloped Square die for the flower matted background. Then I die cut an olive green frame using Taylored Expressions, Square Color Block Cutting Plate. I stamped the WISH candle for the center strip and used a yellow metallic pen to color in the flames.

After putting the olive mats in each of the other openings, I added the little bears by gluing the bottom of their image and putting a mini foam dot behind their heads.

For the balloons, I threaded heavy carpet twine through the balloon ties and then pulled the twine down behind the heart

bear's hand and glued securely. I added several foam dots under the balloons also to give the appearance of floating.
