Bed of Roses

Bed of Roses

Hello crafty friends!

Today I am sharing a card which involved a little experimenting as I was creating it.

First, I ink blended some coral, reds and mahogany distress oxide inks. Once done I added more of the same colors over the stencil - Bed of roses. I cleaned the stencil and laid it back over the same spot. I added a Chroma Glaze over the top in gold and let it dry. This added a soft sheen over the roses.

Now; I have never tried to emboss over Chroma glaze before but I figured I'd take a chance and see how it went.

So I made sure the whole panel was dry before I started this step. I prepared it with anti-static powder and stamped the sentiment with embossing ink. I used Raven black embossing powder over it and heat set it.

Finally I added some gold splatter with aqua pigments and a few gems and adhere the panel to a black mat and then onto an A2 size card base to finish the card.

Sometimes you have to just let go and enjoy the process of creating and experimenting. Please give  me a follow @table_in_the_attic and @brutusmonroe so we can stop by to admire your lovely creations!

Happy Wednesday.
