Autumn Greetings

Autumn Greetings

Happy Tuesday!

Today I used the Autumn Greetings stamp to create this spooky fun scarecrow Halloween card! I absolutely love Halloween and this card was so fun to create!

To create this card I had to do some masking and ink blending.

I started with a piece of 80 lb. Neenah Solar White cardstock. I stamped the scarecrow first, (I wanted him to be in the front), with Raven detail ink by using my Misti tool, I knew I would need to stamp him a couple of times to get a dark black impression and stamp again after my blending. I just left my scarecrow in my Misti.

Next I made a mask for my scarecrow and placed it over him, then I stamped the moon. I also made a mask for the moon, with the mask over the moon and scarecrow I could now begin ink blending.

I started ink blending at the top of the card with Wilted Violet distress oxide. Half way down the card I changed colors to Broken China, and started blending them together in the middle to get even coverage. On the edges all around the card I used Black Soot distress ink. I blended towards the center creating a vignette look. By using the black ink and vignette technique it looks as though the blue is glowing.

I then removed all of the masks and restamped the scarecrow for good measure, and colored him with copics markers.

I die cut some grass in black and adhered it to the card to create a  look of a silhouette corn field. I added dew drops embellishments and tied raffia around the card to finish it off.
