Carnival Fun
Hello! I'm back this week with some fun, creative and quick projects! These are ATC (Artist Trading Cards) are great to send to crafty friends in happy mail , swaps, meet ups, etc.
I began by cutting up a cardboard box that I had around in my craft room. I cut them to size 2.5 X 3.5 which is the typical size for ATCs. I took off the top layer of the cardboard , I painted the surfaces with White Gesso. I had some scrap papers that I have in a bin and selected a variety of papers from 2 different collections. I chose these papers because they are close to this month's Brutus Monroe Inspiration Box which is super cute!! I then cut up some colored glitter papers and used the Brutus Monroe Stainted Glass Die, I then layered up papers and adhered them with Tacky Glue, on 3 of the ATC cards I used the pieces of glitter paper that I die cut. I then added some of the Brutus Monroe Fabulous Fibers in both Peacock Feathers and Frosted Halo.
After the fibers were adhered I added some stickers and chipboard pieces from the Paper collections that I used, I adhered most of them using foam dots for a more dimensional look. I then brushed on some of the Brutus Monroe Aqua Pigments in Pink and Pearl onto random areas on the cards. Lastly I combined both colors of Aqua Pigments and using a splatter brush I splattered the ATCs for that finishing touch!! I did however forget to add on the back my "ARTIST INFO" , here is an example photo of that which is usually added to your ATCs before giving them out to other artists, crafters, friends, which contains a variety of info such a style of crafting, address, social media info , email, etc.
If you have not created these you really must try them! whether you love shabby chic, vintage, mixed media, or other themes, they all turn out super cute and they represent your style to you crafty friends! They are fun to trade and you can either store them in a binder using baseball card sleeves or make your own storage. Thank you for checking out my post today and feel inspired to create your own. Please make sure you share with all of us here at the Brutus Monroe Fan Club on Facebook!
