Aloha!

Aloha!

Hello friends! Kathy here today sharing a bit of the Aloha spirit in a fun card made with the current stencil of the month, a sentiment from the May Inspiration Box, Chroma Glaze and colored inks.

Here are the supplies you will need to get started:

To get started, place the stencil on the 6x6 piece of white cardstock. Since the stencil has some fine details, spraying with Pixie Spray before placing on the paper will help with a nicely defined image.

Using the palette knife, spread a layer of Chroma Glaze over the entire stencil surface.

Gently lift the stencil off the paper in one clean motion. Set the background aside to dry.

After the glaze is dry, use small blending brushes to apply color to all images. I started with the darkest color first, so I could better control the overlap of lighter colors. Try to work a little extra ink into the recessed areas of each image to add dimension.

Blend stripes with three of your ink colors on a small scrap of white paper. Place the sentiment over the middle stripe and stamp in Raven Detail ink.

Trim the background to 4 x 5 ¼. Attach to the black layering panel and then adhere to the white card base.

Trim the sentiment including all blended ink colors. Adhere to a piece of black cardstock. Attach to the lower right corner of the card using foam tape. Add a few embellishments around the sentiment to finish.

Chroma Glazes are amazing by themselves, but just a little bit of ink blending adds a whole new dimension. Hope you will give it a try!
