Adding Depth to Flower Doodle

Adding Depth to Flower Doodle

Hey Brutus Monroe Fans!
It's Jessica Shier again. Today I'm showing a card I made using the Flower Doodles set. I love to color and so far I've shared a lot of fun backgrounds, so I thought I would share something using some of my favorite colors.
I stamped the Flower Doodles stamp on to a piece of white card stock (I use Neenah 80lb solar white) using a stamp positioning tool. The ink I used is the Brutus Monroe Raven detail ink. Before this I hadn't used it with alcohol markers yet, most of you know but it is a great ink to use with markers! So after stamping and heating setting the ink I began to color. I had already decided I wanted to layer this over a piece of colorful card stock. So that is why I stamped as a diamond shape. The Copic marker colors I used are listed below.
Once I had colored the flower and leaves I started on the background area. This creates a lot of depth. I colored in sections, using first the W6 Copic marker, then blending out with the W3, and blending that out further with W0.
I then, trimmed off the corners and layered this over a piece of Ponebook card stock (haha I love that name) cut to 4.25in x 5.5in. I adhered the floral piece over top the bright yellow and heat embossed the sentiment with some Gilded embossing powder. To me it looks like the yellow corners are above the floral stamp image, which adds to the depth feeling of this card.
After cutting those two layered pieces down to 4in x 5.25in I mounted it to a A2 sized white card front.
Copic Markers Used:
W6, W3, W0
G14, YG03, YG01
Y38, Y15
R08, R14, R12
BG09, BG15, BG10
BV04, BV02, BV00
Thanks so much for joining me today!
Jessica ❤
