Hello crafty friends, it's Sweta here bringing you fresh inspiration for February. Today I am sharing a slimline card using the Tea Cups Pattern stencil from this month's Club. I love this 'build-able'/ layering stencil as you can combine a variety of designs and techniques with this stencil. And since it's the month celebrating love I decided to go with that theme in mind.
To start, I created a small mask with Tea cup by tracing the outline and cutting it out of masking paper. Next on a slimline panel I started out by blending a teacup with red distress oxide ink. Once done, I covered it with my mask and blended the next cup balancing on the first one, with the next color in rainbow order. I did this all the way to the top of the panel and I was able to fit 6 different colored tea cups.
Next, I prepped the panel for heat embossing by using some antistatic powder all over the panel. On each tea cup I used embossing ink and gilded sparkle embossing powder with a different pattern. The important thing to remember is to heat set after each tea cup and to use the mask so that the heat embossing does not overlap other tea-cups.
Finally I stamped the sentiment in Raven Black ink and added some sparkly gems to finish the panel which was adhered to a slimline card base.
That's all from me today! Until next time; happy crafting.
