A One Layer, Five-Minute, Anytime Card

Welcome to the blog today, thank you for stopping by. This week a very important birthday snuck up on me and I did not have a card suitable for the occasion. I actually keep most of my cards in boxes for all kinds of card-giving fun, but have not sent many out. I searched through all 100 cards to find one for my good friend and finally settled on one. Sometimes, a five-minute card, though, can be just as beautiful and elegant as one I spend a couple hours creating. So, today, I am bringing you another five-minute beauty.

Brutus Monroe background stamps and the Super Sentimental stamp set make this kind of card possible. I took out one of my favorite B|M stamps, Enchanted Rose, and stamped it on a Honeysuckle A2-sized card with Maple Surface Ink. Then, I masked off a thin strip of the card at the end using Therm O Web Purple Tape and ran the ink pad over the cardstock to form a vertical brown strip that left an empty section on the far right of the card. I stamped the sentiment, “Love Your Face,” in the same Maple ink and that finished off the card.

This design came together quickly, but it is everything I love about stamping. I required no extraordinary ninja card-making skills. At the same time, I would be happy to give this card to anyone as a birthday, graduation, thank you or just because card.
