A Fun Retro Card!

Hello my stampy friends! Are you as  in love with the Brutus Monroe Retro Rewind 6X6 Paper Collection as I am?! All of the bright colors and designs! I had just watched a tutorial on how to make a quilted style card, and I thought this paper would be perfect for a unique quilted card.

Below are the materials you need to start the card:

I started by placing the 1 inch square in the middle of the 4 1/2" X 4 1/2" white panel. Then take one of the strips, line it up under the bottom of the square and cut it where it meets the end as in the example below.

Then repeat this all the way around the center square by alternating the strips of paper, until you use up all of the strips. Next, cut the finished panel to the size of 4" X 4". This is the fun part...put finished 4X4 panel into an embossing folder of your choice and run it thru an embossing machine! The embossing makes it look so cool and hides any flaws that you may have made gluing the strips down.

I used my panel to make a bookmark style card. I made an Etch-A-Sketch with the fabulous Brutus Monroe Sketchy Dies and placed it in the center of the panel.  And stamped the etchy lines across the top panel with the matching Brutus Monroe SketchySentiments stamp set.

I hope I have inspired you get stamping!!!
