Thankful for You
Brutus Monroe now has some fabulous new fall and holiday stamps in the store! Today's card is created with the AUTUMN THANKS set. This set has a number of leaves, a few acorns, and pumpkins in it, as well as the sentiment, "Thankful for You". It is the perfect set for fall and Thanksgiving, but you can also color the leaves bright green for summery projects, as well!
I started by cutting my white cardstock down to an A2 sized card base, 4.25"x 5.5". Then, I ran the front of the card through my Sizzix with and embossing folder to give the background some subtle texture.
I then stamped out my leaf images, colored them in with Prismacolor pencils, and fussy cut them. For three of the leaves, I grabbed my EMBOSSING INK as well as my GILDED EMBOSSING POWDER and embossed just the tips of the leaves.
Then, using the same Gilded Embossing Powder, I stamped and embossed the sentiment on a strip of kraft cardstock. I wanted some earthy, fall colors so the kraft was perfect for that!
I then arranged all my pieces on the front of my card, popping a few of them up on foam adhesive. To finish off the card, I added a twine bow and a few BOTTLE CAP SEQUINS.
The result is a clean and simple card that was quick and easy to put together! Just a little coloring and fussy cutting helped this card come together!
